Who is eligible to apply for a grant? All registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations operating within and serving the Latah County community are eligible to apply for a grant.
What kinds of grants are made? For the 2026 Grants Cycle, the Giving Circle anticipates making three awards. One $10,000 grant will go to organizations addressing basic needs within our community, including housing, food security, childcare, and healthcare. Two $5,000 grants will be awarded to organizations involved with the arts, culture, and/or environment. Final grant amounts are contingent upon available funding.
How are grantees selected? All eligible grantees who complete an online application will be considered for a grant. The Giving Circle's Grants Committee will select top applicants in the $10,000 and $5,000 grants categories. Voting Giving Circle members (members who have donated at least $52) will then vote for their preferred grantees. The Giving Circle Grants Committee will then notify awardees.
What are the expectations of organizations who receive a grant? Grant awardees are asked to host a service day, create a small video, or write a blog post on their activities to raise awareness about their organization.
