In our first Granting Cycle of the Giving Circle Relaunch, we distributed $20,000 in grants to local non-profit organizations. Our 2026 Grantees are:
Inland Oasis (West Side Food Pantry) – $10,000 Award: This grant will directly address food insecurity and waste on the Palouse. Inland Oasis will use the funds to stock the West Side Food Pantry with essential shelf-stable and perishable goods for the 600 neighbors they serve weekly. Additionally, the funding supports the expansion of their Restaurant Food Rescue program, providing the necessary containers to salvage surplus prepared meals from local businesses and redistribute them to those in need.
Latah County Historical Society – $5,000 Award: These funds will support the final phase of the McConnell Mansion window restoration. By focusing on restoring the original 1886 bay windows rather than replacing them, the Society is preserving a landmark of Idaho history using sustainable, high-quality materials. This project ensures the mansion remains a vibrant, safe, and welcoming museum and community gathering space for years to come.
Kenworthy Performing Arts Centre – $5,000 Award: As the Kenworthy nears the completion of its 4K projection system upgrade, this award covers the essential carpentry and electrical work required for a safe installation. By relocating the new laser projector to a custom cabinet in the balcony, the Kenworthy will ensure the safety of staff and patrons while securing the technical infrastructure needed to continue providing low-cost and free community programming.
